SMS / Text Messaging
TeamCare Dental LLC sends SMS text messages to patients on behalf of the dental practices that use our platform.
How we collect phone numbers and consent
Phone numbers are provided by patients at their dental practice, either on an intake form or through the practice's patient portal. Consent to receive text messages is collected through a dedicated SMS consent checkbox that is separate from any other agreement, is not pre-selected, and is never required in order to receive care. Patients may also provide consent verbally during a visit, in which case the relevant disclosures are provided and consent is documented in the patient record.
